Drink at least 1.5 litres of water.

Water is important as it flushes out toxins and keeps you clean on the inside and outside. Filtered water is better than boiled water as it contains less heavy metals. Heavy metals can and do accumulate in your body contributing to many health problems. Don't believe me? Look up the history of the phrase "Mad as a Hatter".

Wake up in a good mood.

It is important that you feel refreshed after you sleep. How long you sleep is up to your body to decide. The average human needs from 6 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Do what is best for you. However, if you're one of those people who hears a little voice tempting you to just stay in bed for the sake of it, ignore it and get up anyway. It isn't good to always listen to the voices in your head.

5 minute facial massage.

Do this whilst listening to the morning news while you're still in bed and you have successfully multi tasked. Yay you!

Have a quick morning shower.

It is refreshing for both your body and mind. Limiting shower timeand installing a water saver shower head will also help the environment and your water bill! Yet another example of multitasking!

Do at least 20 minutes of stretching every day.

You breathe every day, you eat every day and you move every day. Stretching is stress relieving for both body and mind and if done to good music can provide you with instant "Me Only" Time.

Plan your day.

Write things down and prioritise. Disorganisation wastes time, energy, money and is a huge contributor to stress. (Maybe not your personal stress levels but think about those around you...) If you don't think stress is a huge factor in mood disorders and disease ask any executive or mother what they think...

Watch what you eat.

Literally. Read all labelling on food packets. If you can't recognise an ingredient or you see a whole lot of numbers, chances are nature didn't make it and therefore you shouldn't be shovelling it into your body. People are so hung up about smoking, alcohol and drugs, but what about the rubbish that we choose to ingest without a second thought? Terrifying.

Eat more veggies, fruits and nuts.

This is a no brainer. Heavy starchy foods are not high in the vitamins or minerals that we need for growth and development. Yes, they satisfy our hunger and our taste buds, but biologically - they're useless. Our ancestors did not grow up on pasta. They had to hunt and gather. Do the same - it'll also give you great exercise and expose you to some new toys...

Wash all fruits and veggies before eating.

They are sprayed with things you don't want to know about. They are also the breeding ground for things you really don't want to know about!

Remember Monty Python:

"Always look on the bright side of life" is a fantastic song that always makes me smile.
Sing it, hum it, live it.

Do random good.

Do something nice for someone else every day. Smile at strangers, donate to charity, sponsor a child, stop your ex from reproducing.... you know... random good. (Please do not stop your exes from reproducing and if you do - don't drag me into this. Consider the last statement in jest only!)
